INTERVENING IN-BETWEEN:

INTERFERING WITH THE FILE:

Rubber (Car Tyre):
Detailed design was tearing the material
Linoleum:
thread causes tearing in some areas
Foam:
Negative Space Design - raised foam constrasting to embroidered foam
Foam & Sand Paper:
More elaborate negative space design
Varying Thicknesses:
All where hard to place into the embroidery frame making them not so ideal to work with
Using a stripe design and arranging the stitches to start in order from left to right. Thread was placed pre-embroidered design and after each line a tweezer was used to move the thread randomly.
Without placing the thread pre-embroidery and randomly adding and twisting it onto the fabric while embroidered.
Controlling position of the thread through a grid pattern attached by pins that differs to the wave pattern of the embroidery
The back of the embroidered stitches are chaotic due to the dense design that also has a run stitch value of 5 causing threads to overlap. This was caused by accident but made me aware of controlling stitch density and run times
Using the embroidery file to create colour sections of the design that overlap
